Call it kismet. With established careers in advertising and finance, brothers Nicholas (right) and Christian Candy didn’t know in the 1990s when they fixed up and sold a house in London that it would lead to a new design empire. Their seminal effort garnered more residential projects and, ultimately, the formation of their London-based firm, Candy & Candy, in 1999.

Their in-house staff has taken on projects internationally, bringing their brand of luxury to private homes in Monaco, Qatar, Hong Kong, Spain, Italy and Dubai; large apartments in London’s Belgravia and Knightsbridge; and manor houses in the English countryside. Recent projects have included a yacht—aptly named Candyscape —as well as private jets. Martin Kemp, Candy’s head of design, says that the firm’s priority is “designing every last detail, each time creating a complete lifestyle experience.”
