As the weather warms, New Yorkers are flocking to the East End of Long Island for sun, beaches—and design. This weekend sees the debut of Hamptons Contemporary, a design fair conceived by Rick Friedman, founder of ArtHamptons. Events kicks off tonight with a preview hosted by Architectural Digest to benefit the Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons, whose myriad supporters include interior design stars Simon Doonan, Thom Filicia, and Alexa Hampton, to name a few. The evening’s guests will have the opportunity to partake in a silent auction, with lots benefiting ARF and other Hamptons charities. On Saturday and Sunday, some 160 exhibitors will display their wares—home decor, furnishings, and design—at the 40,000-square-foot Southampton Elks Fairgrounds. In addition to welcoming international companies, Hamptons Contemporary will feature a slew of local designers, whose expertise runs the gamut from wood carving to metalwork, lighting, and more, all made in the area. Below, discover a few talents to watch.

Hamptons Contemporary runs June 3–5; day passes cost $20 each, and VIP passes are $100 per couple.
