Starting February 5, some of the world’s top architectural images will go on display at Sto Werkstatt, an exhibition space in central London. The photographs will be divided into four categories for viewing—building in use, exteriors, interiors, and sense of place. According to the gallery, the event “is meant to showcase the power and impact of photography on the way we sense and experience spaces,” and will feature winning images from the 2015 Arcaid Images Architectural Photography competition. Awarded by a panel that included representatives from Foster + Partners and Hufton + Crow Photography, the top prize went to Fernando Guerra’s photograph of the EPFL Quartier Nord, a convention center in Ecublens, Switzerland. Guerra’s image, with its colorful palette, aptly portrays the frantic nature of a building in use. Shown: The exterior of Philharmonic Hall, Szczecin, Poland, by Laurian Ghinitoiu.
