From Norway’s new banknotes to the much-talked-about Oslo Opera House, the Norwegian architecture firm Snøhetta has risen to international acclaim over the past several years with innovative work that spans both buildings and branding. The studio has offices in Oslo and New York, but this week Snøhetta sets up shop in Copenhagen with the opening of “World Architecture Snøhetta,” an exhibition meets pop-up office at the Danish Architecture Center.

At this temporary office in the Danish capital, visitors will be able to interact with architects and other employees and see first-hand the studio's past, present, and future projects. A series of films, photographs, and interactive elements—including a virtual model that visitors can physically step into and explore—showcase the firm’s inventive solutions and unique aesthetic, as well as the strategic, sustainable thinking that underscores all of its work. Currently, Snøhetta is reaching far beyond its Nordic borders and working on an addition to the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, a cultural center in Saudi Arabia, and an urban renewal plan for Times Square in New York.

“Snøhetta is one of the best architecture firms in the world right now,” says Martin Winther, head of communications at the Danish Architecture Center. “We hope that visitors will become part of the ‘office,’ ask Snøhetta questions, and offer ideas and input.”
